Suspension of IPL 2025 Announced

On Friday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) declared the suspension of the current Indian Premier League (IPL) season, according to sources.

The tournament was approaching its climax, with the final match set for May 25.

This decision follows an unfortunate event that occurred at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium on Thursday night, where the much-anticipated game between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) was abruptly canceled.

Fans were notified about the match's cancellation and instructed to leave the venue, while both teams were escorted back to their accommodations.

Shortly after the announcement, Punjab Kings took to their official social media account to confirm the news, stating, 'Match has been called off.' Following the cancellation, fans exited the stadium chanting slogans against Pakistan.
