Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], March 30: Following a successful match against the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL), Gujarat Titans (GT) captain Shubman Gill expressed his admiration for right-arm seamer Prasidh Krishna, who delivered an outstanding bowling display during the game on Saturday, as reported by a Media House.
Prasidh Krishna stood out as one of the top bowlers for the home team. In his four-over spell, he claimed two wickets while allowing only 18 runs, achieving an impressive economy rate of 4.5. He dismissed both Tilak Varma and Suryakumar Yadav, earning the Player of the Match title for his exceptional performance.
During the post-match press conference, the 25-year-old praised Krishna's impactful bowling in the ninth match of this season's lucrative league.
“He performed exceptionally well under pressure, significantly influencing the game's outcome with his bowling. He conceded only about 14 runs [18], with a couple of boundaries coming in the final over. In the first three overs, he allowed just six or seven runs, which is remarkable in a T20 match where the opposition is chasing a target of 200,” the right-handed batsman stated, as quoted by a Media House.
Prasidh Krishna bowled all four of his overs consecutively, entering the game when the five-time champions were at 97/2, still needing 100 runs in the last nine overs.
Reflecting on the match, the impressive bowling performances from Prasidh Krishna and Mohammed Siraj, along with a half-century from Sai Sudharsan, were key highlights as Gujarat Titans overcame Mumbai Indians by 36 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday.
This victory adds two points to GT's score, maintaining their flawless record of 4-0 against MI in Ahmedabad and enhancing their overall head-to-head record to 4-2.
