During the pre-match press conference, Phillips elaborated on the diverse situations he has faced while batting. He remarked, “I have encountered various scenarios, including playing on challenging pitches in Dubai and coming in with only six balls remaining. It’s quite difficult to achieve high scores under such conditions, and sometimes, even when the opportunity arises, it may not be your day.”
He acknowledged the difficulty of maintaining consistency in such a competitive tournament, stating, “We’ve won our last two matches, which indicates some level of consistency. The IPL is notoriously challenging, and sustaining performance over time is tough. We are putting in the effort during training and preparing thoroughly for each game.
