Du Plessis Stands by Team After IPL Defeat

During the post-match presentation, Du Plessis praised his team's fielding efforts, stating, “We were excellent today in the field. The guys showed great fight. The bowlers did well, although the pitch made it a bit easier for them. We had a strong batting lineup, but we lost momentum in the last two overs, which was crucial.”

He also highlighted the performance of young Indian batter Sameer Rizvi, who scored 39 runs, showcasing his talent on a challenging pitch where many senior players struggled. Du Plessis remarked, “Rizvi showed promise today. Against a strong team, you need to be at your best, and while we performed well for most of the match, we faltered in the final overs.”
