Pat Cummins, the second most expensive signing in the IPL 2024 auction, was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs. 20.5 crores was acquired. Although not a guaranteed starter in Australia's T20I XI, Cummins is recognized as a reliable bowler and capable batsman.

Mitchell Starc was secured by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for 24.75 crores. Starc is versatile enough to bowl in all phases of the innings. Despite not being in the IPL for years and facing challenges in T20Is, the fast bowler became the most expensive player in IPL history.
