Agartala Set to Host IPL Fan Park

Agartala (Tripura) [India], May 28: The Secretary of the Tripura Cricket Association (TCA), Subrata Dey, expressed enthusiasm about hosting the IPL Fan Park in Agartala for the Second Qualifier and the final match. He noted that this event would bring the excitement of the IPL playoffs and final closer to cricket enthusiasts in Tripura.

Dey highlighted that the initiative by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) showcases the increasing popularity of cricket in the region. He is optimistic that a large crowd will gather to enjoy the live screenings and the festive atmosphere.

"We are thrilled to organize the IPL Fan Park this Friday evening for the Second Qualifier and the Final Match, scheduled for May 31, 2026. This event is facilitated by the BCCI, and as an affiliated member, the Tripura Cricket Association is delighted to host such an IPL Fan Park," Dey stated.

He further mentioned, "The BCCI is setting up screenings for the Second Qualifier and Final Match at five locations across India, and we are eager to welcome everyone to the IPL Fan Park in Agartala. We encourage the people of Tripura to join us for this exciting event," he added.

In the upcoming Qualifier Two on Friday (May 29), the Gujarat Titans will face off against the Rajasthan Royals for a chance to compete in the final against the defending champions, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), on Sunday (May 31).

This Qualifier 2 of the IPL 2026 playoffs also gives RR a chance to become only the fourth team in history to reach the final after advancing through the Eliminator route.

Meanwhile, GT, who finished second in the league standings this season, will be looking to recover after their loss to Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Qualifier 1.
