New Delhi, September 28: The Delhi Capitals have confirmed the retention of 13 players in preparation for the upcoming Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2027 Player Auction. Notable names such as captain Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali Verma, Marizanne Kapp, and Annabel Sutherland will continue with the team for the new season, as stated in a recent announcement from the franchise.

The Indian players retained include Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali Verma, Deeya Yadav, Niki Prasad, Minnu Mani, N Charani, Mamatha Madiwala, and Nandini Sharma.

On the international front, the team will keep Laura Wolvaardt, Annabel Sutherland, Chinelle Henry, Lucy Hamilton, and Marizanne Kapp.

However, six players will not be returning, including Lizelle Lee, Taniyaa Bhatia, Alana King, Pragati Singh, E Srujana, and Sneha Rana, ahead of the auction.

The WPL 2027 Player Auction is scheduled for next month, and the Delhi Capitals are eager to enhance their roster, having reached the finals in every season of the tournament thus far.
