David Miller Reaches 12,000 T20 Runs
New Delhi, April 27: South African cricket star David Miller marked a significant achievement on Monday by surpassing 12,000 runs in T20 cricket.
Miller accomplished this feat during the match between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Delhi, scoring 19 runs off 18 balls, including three boundaries. His performance was crucial as DC struggled early, finding themselves at a precarious 8/6 within four overs.
Across 565 matches and 513 innings, Miller has accumulated a total of 12,008 runs, featuring four centuries and 52 half-centuries. He is now the third South African player to reach this milestone, following Faf Du Plessis, who has 12,041 runs in 431 matches, and Quinton de Kock, who leads with 12,454 runs in 442 matches.
Chris Gayle holds the record for the most runs in T20s, amassing 14,562 runs in 463 matches at an average of 36.22, with a remarkable strike rate of 144.75, including 22 centuries and 88 fifties. His highest score stands at 175 not out.

With this victory, RCB secured their sixth win out of eight matches, accumulating 12 points and positioning themselves second in the league standings. Meanwhile, DC faced their fifth defeat, having won three matches, placing them seventh on the points table.
RCB chose to bowl first, and outstanding performances from bowlers Hazlewood (4 wickets for 12 runs) and Bhuvneshwar (3 wickets for 5 runs) restricted DC to just 75 runs in 16.3 overs, with Abishek Porel (30) and David Miller (19) being the only notable contributors. RCB's batting lineup responded aggressively, with Jacob Bethell (20 runs off 10 balls), Devdutt Padikkal (34 runs off 13 balls), and Virat Kohli (25 runs off 13 balls) completing the chase in just 6.3 overs.
