Taif [Saudi Arabia], May 8: Cristiano Ronaldo, the iconic Portuguese footballer, has achieved a significant career milestone by scoring his 100th goal in the Saudi Pro League during Al-Nassr's 4-2 triumph over Al-Shabab on Thursday.

The legendary forward marked this achievement with a goal in the second half of the thrilling match, showcasing his influence since joining Al-Nassr in 2022.

Ronaldo played a pivotal role in the victory, teaming up with Joao Felix, who scored a remarkable hat-trick, to propel Al-Nassr in the race for the Saudi Pro League title.

At 41 years old, Ronaldo also netted his 971st career goal, bringing his tally to 26 league goals this season and a total of 127 goals across all competitions for Al-Nassr.

Al-Nassr's coach, Jorge Jesus, praised Ronaldo's forward threat, stating, "Ronaldo is always dangerous going forward, and we saw that again today."

In the match, Ronaldo and Felix led Al-Nassr FC to a 4-2 victory over Al-Shabab FC, with Felix's hat-trick and Ronaldo's contribution proving crucial.

This win keeps Al-Nassr at the top of the league standings with 82 points from 32 matches, five points clear of second-placed Al-Hilal.

Al-Nassr is now just one victory away from clinching the league title, with a potential championship match against rivals Al-Hilal scheduled for May 12.

Additionally, Ronaldo's team is still in the running for silverware in the Asian Champions League Two final against Gamba Osaka on May 16. Coach Jorge Jesus emphasized the need for focus ahead of the important derby match.

"Now we have a derby match against our rival, which is a difficult encounter," said Jorge Jesus, as reported by ESPN. "We are fully aware of its importance, and we are dealing with it with complete focus as we know that small details could decide the result."
