In a recent IPL match held in Mumbai, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain Ruturaj Gaikwad praised his team's unified effort following a decisive win against the Mumbai Indians (MI). He particularly highlighted Mukesh Choudhary's remarkable performance, who, despite facing personal loss with the passing of his mother, demonstrated exceptional courage and commitment on the field.


Gaikwad also commended Sanju Samson for his outstanding and consistent performance, noting the bowling attack's improvement. He expressed optimism about the team's growing synergy, stating that they are beginning to 'click' as a cohesive unit with contributions from all players.


Reflecting on Choudhary's situation, Gaikwad remarked, 'It was tough for him. Hats off to him for stepping up in such circumstances; it requires immense mental strength. He returned for the team because he knew we needed him. We all wanted to support him during this time.'


Regarding the match strategy, Gaikwad shared, 'I was uncertain at the toss, but my instinct suggested batting first due to the pitch conditions. We assessed the situation early on and aimed for a score around 200. Akeal and Noor performed admirably, and everyone contributed well, especially Sanju, who played a magnificent innings. Our bowling has shown significant improvement from previous matches, and I believe we are starting to find our rhythm.'
