The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 is set to kick off on March 28 (Saturday). Initially, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had only shared the schedule for the first 20 days of the tournament due to pending state assembly elections in West Bengal, Kerala, Puducherry, and Tamil Nadu. With the election dates and results now confirmed, the BCCI has released the complete fixture list for the league stage. The tournament will run from March 28 until May 24, with playoff dates and venues still to be announced. Fans are particularly excited about the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), who will start their season against the Rajasthan Royals on March 30 (Monday). Their first home game at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai is scheduled against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) on April 3.
