IPL 2025 Resumption Update

The decision regarding the resumption of IPL 2025 is anticipated to be made tomorrow, May 11. This update follows an agreement on a ceasefire between India and Pakistan. As of Saturday at 5 PM, both nations have halted firing. Subsequently, a media report indicated that the IPL 2025 tournament could restart next week.




Currently, there are still 16 matches left in the 18th season of the IPL. The match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals, scheduled for May 8, was abruptly halted and canceled. IPL Chairman Arun Singh Dhumal later explained that a technical malfunction was necessary to prevent a stampede at the venue.




Meanwhile, according to ESPN Cricinfo, three venues are being considered for the remaining matches of IPL 2025. These include M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Chepauk in Chennai, and Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. The BCCI officials are expected to convene soon to finalize the date for resuming IPL 2025.
