IPL 2025 Set to Restart

Just a few days ago, the IPL 2025 faced a halt due to security concerns. However, preparations are already underway to resume the tournament! The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is expected to announce the new match dates shortly, especially since several international players have returned home. Notably, Shubman Gill's team, the Gujarat Titans, resumed their training on Sunday, according to reports from a Media House.

The BCCI and IPL council officials have been in discussions with the teams, indicating that they should be ready to play again by May 16. The Titans have started their practice sessions, albeit without two key players: England's Jos Buttler and South Africa's Gerald Coetzee.

Gujarat Titans Leading the Charge

Currently, the Gujarat Titans are dominating the points table with 16 points, making their playoff qualification almost certain. They are widely regarded as the team to beat this season. Several players have been performing exceptionally well, with Sudharsan scoring 509 runs and Gill closely trailing with 508. On the bowling front, Prasidh Krishna has been outstanding, leading with 20 wickets, while Siraj and Sai Kishore have also made significant contributions with 15 and 14 wickets, respectively.
