RCB vs SRH Match Relocation

The IPL 2025 match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on May 23 has been moved from M. Chinnaswamy Stadium to Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia explained that this change was necessary due to unfavorable weather conditions in Bengaluru.

Currently, RCB has secured a spot in the playoffs with 17 points and has two matches remaining. They are positioned second in the standings with eight victories, three losses, and one match resulting in no result.

In contrast, the Sunrisers Hyderabad have been eliminated from the tournament, currently sitting at eighth place with four wins, seven losses, and one no result.

Previously, a highly anticipated match between the Rajat Patidar-led team and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) was abandoned due to continuous rain in Bengaluru on Saturday. This abandonment resulted in KKR being knocked out of the tournament, leaving them in sixth place with five wins and six losses, totaling 13 points.
