IPL 2025 Final Scheduled for June 3 in Ahmedabad

IPL 2025 Final Details
The final match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is set to take place on June 3 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. According to reports, Ahmedabad will also host Qualifier 2 on June 1, while the first two playoff games are expected to be held in New Chandigarh's Mullanpur, with Qualifier 1 on May 29 and the Eliminator on May 30. This scheduling decision was made following high-level meetings conducted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
The adjustments in the schedule and venues were primarily influenced by the onset of the monsoon season and the recent week-long suspension of the tournament due to escalating tensions between India and Pakistan.

The league was temporarily suspended on May 9 and resumed on May 17. Originally scheduled for May 25, the final match was postponed by over a week to June 3. This will mark the third occasion that the world's largest cricket stadium, Narendra Modi Stadium, will host the IPL final, having previously done so in 2022 and 2023.
Notably, during the debut season of the Gujarat Titans in 2022, Ahmedabad was limited to hosting only two matches due to COVID-19 protocols, which were Qualifier 2 and the final. The Titans clinched the title that year, and the venue retained the final in 2023. With the monsoon patterns affecting various parts of the country by the end of May, the board opted for historically drier cities to ensure uninterrupted knockout matches.
So far, three teams have secured their playoff spots: Gujarat Titans, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Punjab Kings. The competition for the final spot remains intense, particularly between the Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals.
