Intense Preparations at Lord's

London: The Indian cricket team kicked off their preparations with a vigorous training session at Lord's, just days before the commencement of their five-match Test series against England, starting June 20 in Leeds.

The pace attack, featuring Jasprit Bumrah, Prasidh Krishna, Mohammed Siraj, and Arshdeep Singh, joined forces with the new captain Shubman Gill, wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant, and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja under the guidance of head coach Gautam Gambhir.

Shubman Gill has stepped into the role of India's 37th Test captain following the departures of veteran players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. He leads a youthful squad aiming for their first Test series victory in England since 2007.

The series will kick off at Headingley, followed by matches at Edgbaston, Lord's, Old Trafford, and The Oval.

Meanwhile, players from India A, including some from the main team, are already adapting to the English conditions as they participate in the second official Test against the England Lions in Northampton.
