Significant Changes Anticipated for the Fourth Test

The Indian cricket team is poised to implement substantial changes as they prepare for the fourth Test scheduled today at Old Trafford in Manchester. Currently trailing 2-1 in the series, Shubman Gill and his teammates are determined to mount a strong comeback after their losses at Leeds and Lord's.

In the first Test at Leeds, Sai Sudharsan made his debut but unfortunately did not score, resulting in his exclusion from the second Test in favor of Karun Nair. However, recent reports indicate that Nair will also be dropped for the fourth Test, making way for Sudharsan's return to the lineup.

In addition to the changes in the batting order, Akashdeep has been ruled out, paving the way for Anshul Kamboj to potentially make his Test debut. Furthermore, Shardul Thakur is expected to replace Nitish Reddy in the squad.

A key highlight for India is the return of their leading pacer, Jasprit Bumrah, who will be crucial in securing early breakthroughs. In the previous Test at Lord's, India faced a disappointing defeat by 22 runs, largely due to a batting collapse.

Ravindra Jadeja was the standout performer in that match, single-handedly pushing India to a total of 170 while chasing a target of 193.
