The ILC tournament kicked off on Tuesday with the Indian Warriors defeating the African Lions in the inaugural match at the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex. The Warriors showcased their batting prowess, successfully chasing a challenging target of 196 runs. They clinched victory with 15 balls remaining, thanks to impressive performances from Kedar Devdhar, who scored 60 runs off 39 balls, Pawan Negi with 57 runs off 28 balls, and captain Priyank Panchal, who contributed 38 runs off 17 balls. The Warriors made a strong start, amassing 67 runs in the first six overs while losing just one wicket, with Shikhar Dhawan scoring 24 runs off 20 balls and Panchal adding 67 runs off 75 balls.

Despite a brief scare when Negi and Devdhar lost two wickets in the seventh over, their partnership steadied the innings and led to a comfortable finish. The league stage concludes on June 3, with semi-finals scheduled for June 4 at 3:30 PM and 7:30 PM, culminating in the final on June 5 at 7:30 PM.
