Indian Skeet Teams Shine at Asian Games: Bronze Medals for Both Men and Women

Indian Teams Secure Bronze in Skeet Shooting

The Indian men's and women's skeet shooting teams achieved remarkable success at the Asian Games held in Nagoya on Wednesday, both clinching bronze medals.

After completing three days of qualification rounds, the women's team, consisting of Raiza Dhillon, Maheshwari Chauhan, and Parinaaz Dhaliwal, secured third place with a total score of 331, trailing behind gold medalists China (357) and Kazakhstan (336).

In the men's category, Anantjeet Singh Naruka, Mairaj Ahmad Khan, and Bhavtegh Singh Gill also earned a bronze medal, finishing with a combined score of 346.

Each shooter in the skeet event aims for a maximum of 125 points. Anantjeet qualified for the individual final with a score of 119, while Mairaj scored 116 and Bhavtegh 111.

Earlier in the competition, Parinaaz and Raiza both achieved scores of 111 out of 125, and Maheshwari scored 109.

Raiza and Parinaaz will have another opportunity to compete for medals as they qualified for the individual final in the women's skeet event, with Raiza finishing in eighth place and Parinaaz in ninth.

With this achievement, India has now accumulated four silver and three bronze medals in shooting events at the Games.
