Indian Players Excel in T20I Rankings

Several Indian cricketers have seen their rankings improve in T20Is following impressive performances in the ongoing series against Afghanistan. Spinner Varun Chakravarthy has climbed to fifth place, while pacer Jasprit Bumrah has entered the top 10. The current ICC Men's T20 World Cup champions have established a commanding 2-0 lead in the three-match series held in Delhi, with significant contributions from various players in the two matches played so far.

In the latest T20I Bowler Rankings, Varun Chakravarthy has moved up two positions to fifth, Jasprit Bumrah has ascended seven spots to 10th, Arshdeep Singh has jumped 11 places to 14th, and Axar Patel has risen six spots to 27th, thanks to their solid performances in the Afghanistan series, according to the ICC.

Afghanistan's Azmatullah Omarzai has also made notable progress in the T20I all-rounder rankings, following his impressive unbeaten half-century in the series opener. Abhishek Sharma ignited the series with a remarkable innings of 82 in the first match, allowing him to climb one spot to second place among T20I batters, surpassing Pakistan's Sahibzada Farhan. Only Ishan Kishan remains ahead of Abhishek, with a gap of 51 rating points, while Sanju Samson has also improved, moving up four places to 30th after his fine half-century in the second match.

Australia's Rise in ODI Rankings

In the ODI rankings, three Australian players have made gains following their 59-run victory over Zimbabwe in the series opener in Harare. Pacer Nathan Ellis has improved by 20 spots, now ranking 20th among ODI bowlers after taking five wickets. Matthew Renshaw, who earned the Player of the Match award for his outstanding innings of 109, has moved from outside the top 100 to 68th among ODI batters. Additionally, Cooper Connolly has climbed nine spots to 77th after scoring 51 runs while batting at No. 3 in the match against Zimbabwe.

Advancements in Test Rankings

In the updated Test Rankings, England's Ollie Robinson has achieved a career-high rating, moving up two spots to third among Test bowlers after taking 21 wickets in the recent three-match series against Pakistan at home. His teammate Josh Tongue has also reached a new career-best, climbing two positions to 11th with 19 wickets in the series. Robinson's timely half-century in the third Test in Birmingham has propelled him seven spots to 13th among Test all-rounders. For Pakistan, skipper Babar Azam has moved up two spots to 13th, while Shan Masood has climbed four positions to 37th. England's Jamie Smith has also made progress, rising three spots to 20th after his half-century in the first innings of the third Test.
