Indian Badminton Stars Set to Compete at Taipei Open 2025

Indian Contingent Ready for Taipei Open
New Delhi [India] - Former world number one badminton player Kidambi Srikanth, alongside promising female athletes Anmol Kharb and Unnati Hooda, will lead the Indian team at the Taipei Open, which kicks off on Tuesday in Chinese Taipei.
Currently ranked 61st globally, Srikanth has been experiencing a challenging phase, with only one quarterfinal finish in his last six competitions. The silver medalist from the 2021 World Championships had just one semifinal showing last year across 14 events, according to data from Olympics.com.
With top players HS Prannoy and Lakshya Sen not participating, India's leading men's singles competitor will be Ayush Shetty, who holds the world ranking of 44.
In the women's category, with two-time Olympic medalist PV Sindhu absent, Rakshitha Sree Santhosh Ramraj, ranked 42nd, will be the highest-ranked Indian female player, supported by young talents Unnati and Anmol.
