On Saturday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) revealed a 15-member team for the upcoming Women's T20 World Cup. Harmanpreet Kaur has been appointed as the captain, with Smriti Mandhana serving as her deputy.
Following their recent success in the 50-over World Cup, the Indian team aims to maintain their winning momentum as they prepare for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026, set to commence on June 12.
This marks Kaur's fifth time leading the team in this tournament, and she is determined to secure the prestigious title, having narrowly missed it in previous editions.
The batting lineup will feature prominent players such as Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, and Richa Ghosh, while the bowling duties will primarily fall to Deepti Sharma and Renuka Singh.
