Upcoming Friendly Matches for India U20 Women's Team

The India U20 women's football squad is gearing up for two international friendly encounters against Uzbekistan, scheduled for November 29 and December 2 at the FC Madras Academy located in Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu. As per the All India Football Federation (AIFF), these matches will take place during the FIFA Women’s International Match Window and will not be open to the public.


These fixtures are crucial for the team's preparation ahead of the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup 2026, where the Young Tigresses will compete in Group C alongside formidable teams such as Japan, Australia, and Chinese Taipei. Uzbekistan, which has also secured a spot in the Asian Cup, will be competing in Group B against DPR Korea, Korea Republic, and Jordan.


Head coach Joakim Alexandersson has selected a squad of 24 players for these matches. The team has been in a training camp at the FC Madras Academy since November 11, focusing on enhancing their technical skills, match awareness, and overall fitness.


In their previous outing last month, the Young Tigresses traveled to Shymkent, Kazakhstan, where they played two friendly matches against the Kazakhstan U19 team, achieving a 3-2 victory and a 1-1 draw.
