As India prepares for a five-match Test series against England starting June 20, the team has bolstered its pace attack by including 23-year-old fast bowler Harshit Rana. Initially, an 18-member squad was announced for the tour, but with Harshit’s addition, the team now comprises 19 players.
The announcement regarding Harshit Rana's inclusion was made by the official broadcaster of the Test series, Star Sports, through their media channels. The first match of the series is set to commence on June 20 at Headingley, a venue renowned for favoring fast bowlers.
With Harshit Rana joining the squad, India's pace attack has become even sharper, led by Jasprit Bumrah. However, Bumrah will only participate in the first three Test matches. The pace responsibilities will now also fall on Arshdeep Singh, Mohammed Siraj, Akash Deep, Harshit, and Prasidh Krishna.
