India's Successful Campaign at the World Boxing Futures Cup

India wrapped up its participation in the World Boxing Futures Cup, securing a total of five medals, including a gold, on Sunday.


The Indian U-19 men's and women's teams showcased impressive performances across various Youth Olympic weight categories.


Chandrika Pujari led the team with a stellar display in the women's 51 kg final, where she triumphed over Uzbekistan's Mardonova Nazokat by unanimous decision, earning her a spot at the top of the podium.


Three other Indian boxers earned silver medals after reaching the finals in their respective weight classes.




Gunjan (48kg) faced a tough match against her English opponent, losing by a 5-0 decision, while Joyshree Devi (54kg) put up a strong fight but ultimately fell 4-1 to a competitor from the United States.


In the men's 50kg division, L. Ambekar Meetei also claimed silver after being defeated in his final bout by a boxer from Ukraine.


Earlier in the competition, Radhamani Longjam (57kg) had earned a bronze medal.
