India Gears Up for Thrilling Third Test at Lord's Against England

India Prepares for the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy
Under the leadership of Shubman Gill, the Indian cricket team is set to compete in the third Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025. This much-anticipated match will take place at the historic Lord's Stadium in London from July 10 to July 14.
India's squad will receive a significant boost with the return of Jasprit Bumrah, their premier fast bowler, who is ready to rejoin the playing XI. Bumrah missed the second Test due to workload management but has now regained fitness. He was seen bowling energetically during a recent practice session with his teammates.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India shared a video showcasing Bumrah in action. In the footage, he shared a light-hearted moment with fellow fast bowler Shardul Thakur, who humorously touched Bumrah's feet. Bumrah responded playfully by referring to himself as 'Lord,' a nod to the venue's name.
Bumrah quipped, "Ye dekho Lord, Lord's," to which Shardul replied, "Tabhi Jasprit Bumrah ke per padne padte hai (That's why we need to touch Jasprit Bumrah's feet)."
In response, Bumrah remarked, "Ye to inka badappan hai, me inke sath khade hu vahi mein jeet gaya (This is his greatness, I stood with him and that is why I won)."

Shardul Thakur also missed the second Test, where he was replaced by Nitish Kumar Reddy, a fast bowling all-rounder. However, Nitish did not make a significant impact during the match at Edgbaston.
In the series, India turned the tide with a commanding victory over England in the second Test, winning by a staggering 336 runs at Edgbaston in Birmingham. This win leveled the series at 1-1 and positioned India strongly for the upcoming Test.
While India is finalizing its squad, England has already announced their team for the Lord's Test, including fast bowler Jofra Archer, who returns to Test cricket after a lengthy absence. Archer last played a Test match in February 2021 against India at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
With both teams making strategic changes and recalling key players, the third Test at Lord's promises to be an exciting and high-stakes encounter.
