India's Strong Start in Boxing Championships

Amman [Jordan], April 20: India kicked off its journey at the Asian U-15 and U-17 Boxing Championships with impressive victories on the opening day. In the U-15 boys' division, Hardik Dahiya (43kg) showcased his skills by defeating Kyrgyzstan's Kubanychbek Bolushov with a decisive 5-0 unanimous decision. Following this, Rudraksh Singh (46kg) also secured a clean victory, overcoming Mongolia's Ibrakhim Maral with another 5-0 scoreline. This championship marks the inaugural event organized by Asian Boxing, receiving endorsements from both the Olympic Council of Asia and the newly established World Boxing.

India has sent a robust contingent of 56 young boxers, comprising 30 athletes in the U-15 category and 26 in the U-17 category, to compete in the Asian U-15 & U-17 Boxing Championships taking place in Amman, Jordan, from April 17 to May 1, as reported by the Boxing Federation of India (BFI).


This championship is the first of its kind organized by Asian Boxing, with backing from both the Olympic Council of Asia and the newly formed World Boxing, according to the BFI's announcement.
