Intense Preparations at Edgbaston

Edgbaston [UK], July 22: The India Champions team is currently honing their skills at the Edgbaston Cricket Ground in anticipation of their upcoming match against the South Africa Champions in the World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025.


Among the players spotted during practice were renowned former Indian cricketers such as Yuvraj Singh, Piyush Chawla, Suresh Raina, Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, and Shikhar Dhawan.


As they prepare to defend their prestigious title, the India Champions are set to face off against cricket legends in what is expected to be an exhilarating tournament, as highlighted in a WCL announcement.


After a dominant performance in the previous year, the team, under the leadership of the determined Yuvraj Singh, is focused on retaining their championship title.


The tournament is scheduled to take place from July 18 to August 2, 2025, across four iconic venues in the UK, promising fans a nostalgic experience filled with intense rivalries and top-notch entertainment. The WCL 2025 will showcase cricketing icons in a grand summer event sanctioned by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).


Yuvraj Singh shared the team's enthusiasm and dedication to defending their title, stating, “The World Championship of Legends is undoubtedly one of the most exciting cricket tournaments, and our team is prepared to give our best. The India Champions will encounter strong competition in the group stages, beginning with their match against the South Africa Champions on Tuesday. They will then face the Australian Champions on Saturday and the England Champions on Sunday, concluding the group stage against the West Indies Champions on July 29.
