The Indian team, featuring Lakshya Sen, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, Chirag Shetty, and Ayush Shetty, achieved a convincing 3-0 victory. Prior to the match, attention was on Lakshya, the top men's singles player, and the accomplished doubles team of Satwik and Chirag, who were pivotal in India's 2022 Thomas Cup success. Despite previous struggles in crucial matches, the players stepped up against Chinese Taipei, delivering essential wins that established a 2-0 lead for India.

Lakshya Sen's Key Victory

Facing pressure to perform, Lakshya needed to elevate his game. Although he had previously faltered in critical matches, he rose to the occasion against Chou Tien Chen, winning 18-21, 22-20, 21-17 in a grueling 88-minute match. After losing the first game, Lakshya fought back in the second, showcasing resilience and determination. The final game saw him maintain control, ultimately securing the first point for India in the quarterfinals.

Doubles Duo Secures Second Point

Following Lakshya's victory, the men's doubles team of Satwik and Chirag took to the court.
