India A Men's Hockey Team Shines in Euro Tour

The India A Men's Hockey Team showcased their prowess in their second match of the Euro tour, achieving a remarkable 6-0 win against Ireland in Eindhoven, Netherlands, as reported by Hockey India.


Uttam Singh initiated the scoring for the team, followed by a goal from captain Sanjay. Midfielder Mohammed Raheel Mouseen then made a significant impact with two consecutive goals, while Amandeep Lakra and Varun Kumar each contributed with a goal, leading to a comprehensive victory for India A.


Post-match, Coach Shivendra Singh expressed his satisfaction, stating, “We’ve had two excellent matches against Ireland, and I’m pleased with the players’ development. Our next challenge is against the French team, and we aim to replicate this strong performance.”


India A is set to face France next on Saturday, July 12, at the same venue, followed by matches against England, Belgium, and the Netherlands over the next two weeks.


Previously, the India A Men's Hockey Team commenced their European tour with a commanding 6-1 victory over Ireland at the Hockey Club Oranje-Rood in Eindhoven.


The team displayed a solid performance throughout all four quarters, with Uttam Singh scoring first and Amandeep Lakra adding to the lead. Aditya Lalage also made headlines with two back-to-back goals. Forwards Selvam Karthi and Boby Singh Dhami each found the net, while Ireland managed only a single consolation goal, thanks to India's strong defensive strategy.


The India A squad will compete in two matches against Ireland, France, and the Netherlands, along with one match each against England and Belgium.
