Exciting Day Eight of Ice Hockey League Season 3
Leh (Ladakh) [India], February 5: The Humas Warriors concluded Day eight of the Ice Hockey League Season 3 with an exhilarating victory against the Zanskar Chadar Tamers at the Nawang Dorjay Stobdan (NDS) Stadium, as reported in a recent announcement.
This event, organized in collaboration with the UT Administration of Ladakh and the Ice Hockey Association of Ladakh, featured a thrilling exchange of goals, including two equalizers, before Waseem Bilal secured the win with a remarkable hat-trick.
Earlier in the day, Kangs Sing kicked off the action with a 5-3 victory over Sham Wolves, establishing a strong lead before fending off a late-game surge. Tsering Lhundup scored the first goal just two minutes in, followed by two quick strikes from Gonbo Tashi, putting Kangs ahead 3-0.
Mushtaque Ahmad Giri and Captain Karma Rigyal Stein further extended the lead to five in the second period. Although Sham Wolves fought back in the third with goals from Chinba Sonam and Jigmet Choster, Kangs maintained their defensive strength to secure the win.
Changthang Shans showcased their dominance with an 8-1 victory over Kharu Falcons, taking control right from the start. Chamba Tsetan was instrumental, netting four goals in the first period, giving the Shans a commanding 4-0 lead at the first break.
Kharu managed a brief response in the second period with a goal from Jigmat Choster, but the Shans regained their momentum in the third, with Rigzen Namgyal scoring twice and Tsetan completing his five-goal performance.
In the women's match, Sham Eagles achieved a convincing 4-0 win, converting sustained pressure into goals. The first breakthrough came late in the first period when Dolkar Angmo scored a tap-in, giving the Eagles a 1-0 lead at halftime.
They increased their lead in the second period with Nima Lhamo scoring from close range, and in the third, Rigzen Angmo and captain Semzes Dolma added to the tally, sealing the match.
Purig Warriors triumphed over Changla Blasters with a score of 5-1, taking control after an early exchange. Nawaz Ali opened the scoring, followed by an equalizer from Jigmet Deskong. The second period saw Zakir Hussain restore Purig's lead, and they maintained dominance to finish the game strong.
Humas Warriors wrapped up the day with a 5-2 victory against Zanskar Chadar Tamers in a fast-paced match that remained competitive until the final period. Shabas Hussain initiated the scoring early, but the Tamers equalized through Jigmath Kunzang.
After trading goals, Waseem's hat-trick, featuring a decisive drag shot and two additional goals, secured the win for the Warriors.
Looking ahead to Day nine of the League on February 6, 2026, Sham Wolves will face Maryul Spawo, followed by Shakar Chiktan Royals against Changthang Shans, and Kharu Falcons meeting Kangs Sing. The day's final match will see Humas Warriors take on United Nubra.
