Champions of the Hockey India Masters Cup 2025

Chennai (Tamil Nadu) witnessed an exciting conclusion to the inaugural Hockey India Masters Cup 2025, where the Hockey Association of Odisha (Women) and the Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu (Men) emerged victorious. They triumphed over Hockey Punjab (Women) and Hockey Maharashtra (Men) respectively at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Hockey Stadium.


In the women's bronze medal match, Hockey Haryana secured victory against the Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu, while in the men's category, Hockey Chandigarh claimed the bronze by defeating the Hockey Association of Odisha, as reported by Hockey India.


The final for the women's title saw Hockey Association of Odisha narrowly defeat Hockey Punjab with a score of 1-0. Both teams showcased remarkable determination, remaining scoreless in the first half. However, Ranjita Beck made her mark in the 34th minute, skillfully maneuvering past the Hockey Punjab defense to score the decisive goal and secure the championship.


In the men's final, the Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu dominated Hockey Maharashtra with a convincing 5-0 victory. After a goalless first half, the team surged ahead with goals from Muthuselvan D (30'), Sudharsan S (34'), Govthaman (36'), Thamaraikannan (40'), and Ramadoss V (52'), sealing their triumph.


The women's bronze medal match was a nail-biter, with Hockey Haryana edging out the Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu 4-3. Saumya scored twice for the Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu, alongside Captain Mecklish James, who added another goal. However, Hockey Haryana's Monorama Goswami and Chingshubam Sanggai Ibemhal each netted two goals, ensuring their team finished on the podium.


In the men's bronze medal clash, Hockey Chandigarh triumphed over the Hockey Association of Odisha with a score of 2-1. Ravinder Singh opened the scoring for Hockey Chandigarh, while Ladhu Ekka equalized for the Hockey Association of Odisha. Ultimately, Harvinder Singh's goal in the 52nd minute secured the bronze for Hockey Chandigarh.
