According to the ICC, the match between India and England achieved a peak concurrency of 65.2 million viewers on JioHotstar. This remarkable figure marks the highest digital viewership for any live event worldwide, showcasing cricket's unparalleled ability to attract large audiences in India.
ICC chairman Jay Shah announced on social media that the semi-final shattered previous records, emphasizing the event's capacity to draw significant viewership. He praised the tournament organizers and broadcast partners for their efforts in engaging fans effectively. Shah remarked, 'This demonstrates the unparalleled capacity of marquee global cricket to aggregate Indian fans as well as the prowess of my team at the ICC and our partner JioStar in recruiting and engaging fans at scale.'

India Triumphs Over England
In a nail-biting finish, the Indian cricket team secured victory against England by seven runs. The hosts amassed a record total of 253 runs, the highest ever in T20 World Cup knockout matches. Sanju Samson was the standout performer, scoring 89 runs off just 43 balls. Jacob Bethell also impressed with a solid 105 runs from 48 balls.
