This adjustment marks the second major scheduling change for the Champions League final in the 21st century, following the switch from Wednesday to Saturday in 2010. Historically, the final has been held on Wednesdays since the competition's inception in 1955, while the Europa and Conference League finals continue to take place mid-week. As for the match itself, PSG aims to become the second team to defend their title after Real Madrid, while Arsenal seeks their first Champions League trophy.
