Hasan Ali Signs with Yorkshire for Vitality Blast
Hasan Ali Joins Yorkshire
Yorkshire County Cricket Club has officially signed Hasan Ali as an overseas player for the upcoming Vitality Blast. He steps in to fill the void left by Naveen-ul-Haq, who is sidelined due to an injury. In addition to the Vitality Blast, Ali will also be part of Yorkshire's Rothesay County Championship teams for the matches against Warwickshire in Scarborough and Leicestershire, according to the club's official cricket website.
A Wealth of Experience
The right-arm seamer boasts an impressive track record in domestic T20 cricket, having previously played three successful seasons with Warwickshire in the Vitality Blast. During these stints, he took 44 wickets at an impressive average of 14.93. Ali has significant experience in T20 formats, having participated in 57 international T20 matches for Pakistan, where he secured 72 wickets at an average of 23. Known for his strategic variations, he has established himself as a key player in the shortest format. His previous performances with Warwickshire from 2023 to 2025 were particularly noteworthy, and he arrives in excellent form following his participation in the Pakistan Super League. Additionally, he has gained valuable experience in red-ball cricket with Lancashire County Cricket Club.
'An Exceptional Replacement'
Gavin Hamilton, the General Manager of Cricket, expressed his sentiments, stating, "While we are disappointed that Naveen cannot join us this year, we are fortunate to have Hasan as an exceptional replacement. He brings a wealth of experience and a skill set that we believe will be crucial for the team. We are thrilled to have secured someone of Hasan's caliber on such short notice, and everyone at the Club is eager to welcome him to Headingley next month."
