Indian women's cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur has called on her players to elevate their performance as they prepare to face Sri Lanka in the Women's Asia Cup final scheduled for Sunday in Dubai.

The team has heavily depended on their opening batswomen, with Smriti Mandhana scoring 154 runs and Shafali Verma contributing 168 runs throughout the tournament. With the championship on the line, Harmanpreet is hopeful that the middle order will step up and share the scoring responsibilities during this crucial match.

"We are aware of our strong batting line-up, and it’s crucial that whoever is in form on the day takes charge and leads the team to victory," Harmanpreet stated, as reported on the ICC website. "That is essential on this pitch," she added.

The captain expressed satisfaction with the team's ability to find match-winners from various players throughout the tournament, which is a positive sign as they head into the final.
