The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Friday that the ongoing IPL 2025 would be suspended for one week, effective immediately. BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia mentioned, "The decision to halt the tournament was made after discussions with key stakeholders, including franchisees, broadcasters, and fans, who expressed their concerns. While we trust in the capabilities of our armed forces, we felt it was wise to prioritize the collective interests of all involved."
