Gwalior Cheetahs vs Malwa Stallions

In a commanding display, the Gwalior Cheetahs secured a 51-run victory against the Malwa Stallions during the Madhya Pradesh League (MPL) T20 Scindia Cup 2026, held at the Daly College Ground in Indore on Sunday.


After being invited to bat first, the Cheetahs set a formidable target of 190 runs for 7 wickets in their 20 overs. Captain Rajat Patidar led the charge with an impressive 65 runs off just 30 balls, marking his first fifty in the league, which included six fours and four sixes. Opener Parth Chaudhary added a solid 38 runs from 34 balls, while Mangesh Yadav contributed an unbeaten 33 runs off 17 balls, ensuring a strong finish for the team.


Despite taking regular wickets, the Stallions' bowlers struggled to contain the scoring. Vineet Rawat was the standout bowler, taking four wickets, while Harshvardhan Singh supported with three wickets.


In their chase for 191 runs, the Malwa Stallions faltered, getting bowled out for 139 runs in just 17.1 overs. Rakesh Thakur was the top scorer with 33 runs off 26 balls, and Ansh Yadav added 30 runs from 19 balls. However, the rest of the batting lineup failed to build partnerships, leading to their downfall.


The Gwalior bowling unit performed exceptionally well, with Ishan Afridi and Saumy Pandey each taking three wickets, maintaining pressure throughout the innings. Akash Raghuwanshi and Mangesh Yadav also contributed with key wickets, allowing the Cheetahs to finish the match with nearly three overs remaining.


Rajat Patidar was awarded Player of the Match for his pivotal innings that set the foundation for Gwalior's total.

In another thrilling match at the Holkar Stadium, the Chambal Ghariyals triumphed over the Royal Nimar Eagles by four wickets in the Aditya Birla Group Madhya Pradesh League (MPL) T20 Scindia Cup 2026.


Bowling first, the Chambal Ghariyals' pace attack excelled, putting the Eagles on the back foot early in the match. The Eagles lost their opener, Himanshu Mantri, in the second over, caught behind off a delivery from Avesh Khan for just 4 runs.


The Ghariyals maintained pressure, taking wickets at regular intervals and preventing the Eagles from forming any significant partnerships. Kanishk Dubey, Anand Bais, and Abhishek Mavi all got starts but couldn't convert them into big scores, with Dubey scoring 23 runs off 17 balls, Bais 28 runs off 22 balls, and Mavi 28 runs off 15 balls. Consequently, the Eagles were restricted to 145 runs for 9 wickets in their 20 overs.


Akshay Singh was particularly effective with the ball, taking 2 wickets for 23 runs in his four overs. Avesh Khan contributed with 1 wicket for 28 runs, while Tripuresh Singh also claimed two wickets, finishing with figures of 2 for 30. Mayur Singh Patel was the standout bowler, achieving remarkable figures of 3 wickets for 28 runs.


In response, openers Ankush Singh and Apurve Dwivedi provided a solid start, adding 40 runs for the first wicket. However, the Eagles fought back, taking two quick wickets to halt the scoring.


With the score at 62 for 2, captain Shubham Sharma joined Gautam Raghuwanshi, and together they formed a crucial partnership of 41 runs. Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, Harsh Dixit and Tripuresh Singh kept their composure, guiding the Chambal Ghariyals to victory with more than two overs to spare. Dixit finished unbeaten on 13 runs off 10 balls, while Tripuresh scored a quick 11 runs off just 4 balls.


For the Royal Nimar Eagles, Parush Mandal was the standout bowler, taking 3 wickets for 36 runs, while Kumar Kartikeya added 2 wickets for 24 runs.
