Gunther Claims World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Raw
Gunther Triumphs Over Jey Uso
The latest episode of WWE Raw marked the end of Jey Uso's reign as he lost the World Heavyweight Championship on June 9. The event, held at the PHX Arena in Phoenix, Arizona, featured Gunther defeating Jey Uso (c) to claim the title, leaving many fans heartbroken.
In a thrilling showdown between two fierce competitors, Gunther managed to submit Jey Uso in the final match of the night, securing the championship for the second time. The match concluded with Gunther applying his signature sleeper hold.
Jey attempted to escape the hold and even tried to apply a sleeper of his own, reminiscent of his victory at WrestleMania 41. However, Gunther countered and successfully locked in the sleeper again. Despite Jey's efforts to break free, he ultimately passed out, leading the referee to declare Gunther the winner of the championship match.

Jey Uso held the championship for 52 days, having defeated Gunther at WrestleMania 41 in April. During his short reign, he managed to retain the title against Seth Rollins by disqualification and defeated Logan Paul in his second defense at last month's Saturday Night's Main Event. Prior to facing Paul, Gunther confronted Jey backstage, indicating he would challenge the winner on the June 9 episode of WWE Raw.
With this victory, Gunther begins his second reign as World Heavyweight Champion, having previously won the title at Summerslam last year before losing it to Jey at WrestleMania.
