Exciting Launch of the Global Tennis Cricket League

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], June 17: A thrilling new chapter in tennis ball cricket commenced on Tuesday with the spectacular unveiling of the Global Tennis Cricket League (GTCL60) in Mumbai. This league, touted as the foremost 60-ball tennis cricket competition globally, will showcase eight vibrant international teams competing in Sharjah.


The launch event was attended by notable figures, including Indian cricketer Piyush Chawla, Bollywood star Sohail Khan, actor Vindu Dara Singh, music composer Sajid, and cricketer Iqbal Abdulla.


Set to take place in Sharjah, UAE, the GTCL60 aims to unite elite tennis ball cricketers from around the globe on a prestigious platform. Each match will consist of 10 overs per side (60 balls), ensuring thrilling action right from the start.


Amin Pathan, the founder of GTCL60, expressed his excitement at the launch, stating, “We are thrilled to introduce a league that resonates with every player who has aspired to transition from the streets to the limelight. We will conduct trials in 30 cities to ensure that no talent goes unnoticed. Today marks the inception of a league that will inspire, uplift, and revolutionize the perception of tennis ball cricket worldwide.”


Piyush Chawla, a former Indian cricketer, remarked, “Every cricketer begins with tennis ball cricket — I did too. This league offers a significant platform for emerging talent from grassroots levels. It will provide genuine opportunities for raw, street-level players to showcase their abilities. For young cricketers, GTCL60 could be a transformative experience.”


The selection process will kick off with open registrations, followed by comprehensive trials across 30 cities in India and internationally. The most promising talents will be identified and subsequently enter a professional player draft, where franchises will choose their team members.
