On Saturday, India reported that Pakistan had violated the ceasefire agreement established earlier in the day between the Directors General of Military Operations from both nations. In response, the Indian Army has initiated countermeasures against the border intrusions.
During a special briefing, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri emphasized that these actions represent a serious breach of the previously agreed terms, and India is taking these violations very seriously.
Misri urged Pakistan to take necessary actions to rectify these violations and handle the situation with the required seriousness and responsibility.
He further stated that India's Armed Forces have been instructed to respond decisively to any further violations along both the International Border and the Line of Control.
"In recent hours, there have been multiple breaches of the understanding reached earlier today between the military operations directors of both countries. This is a significant violation, and our armed forces are providing an adequate response to these actions," Misri noted.
He reiterated the call for Pakistan to act responsibly and address these violations, assuring that the armed forces are maintaining vigilant oversight of the situation.
