Henry, who is currently serving as a football analyst for the tournament, criticized Ronaldo for prioritizing his own scoring over team play. He emphasized the importance of teamwork, stating, "It's crucial for the team to score, not just for one player to focus on scoring. Ronaldo's desire to score led him to obstruct plays that could have benefited the team. If he had made the right runs, it could have opened up opportunities for his teammates, like Bruno Fernandes, who could have easily scored," Henry explained during his commentary.

This match marked a significant milestone for Ronaldo, as he became only the second player, alongside Lionel Messi, to participate in six FIFA World Cups.
