Brazil Prepares for Crucial FIFA World Cup 2026 Match Against Haiti
Brazil's Upcoming Challenge in FIFA World Cup 2026
Brazil is gearing up for their second match in the FIFA World Cup 2026, set to take place at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This match is crucial for Brazil as they aim to secure a spot in the top two of Group D. In their opening game against Morocco, which ended in a 1-1 draw, the team notably missed their star player, Neymar.
Despite hopes that Neymar would return for the match against Haiti, he will be absent once again. The forward sustained a calf injury shortly before the tournament commenced, causing him to miss all friendly matches and training sessions leading up to the World Cup. Although he had resumed training with the squad prior to the Haiti match, the Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF) announced that he would remain in New Jersey to focus on his recovery.
According to the CBF, "He will remain in New Jersey to make the most of the final stage of his recovery, utilizing the excellent facilities at The Ridge hotel and the Columbia Park training centre."
