Al Nassr Advances to Asian Champions League Two Final with Dominant Victory
Al Nassr's Impressive Win
Al Nassr, featuring Cristiano Ronaldo, secured their spot in the Asian Champions League Two final with a commanding 5-1 victory over Al Ahli. The match, however, was marred by a sideline altercation involving one of Ronaldo's teammates. After Al Ahli took an early lead through Sekou Yansane, Al Nassr quickly turned the tide. Kingsley Coman shone brightly, netting a hat-trick, while Angelo Gabriel and Abdullah Al-Hamdan also contributed goals to ensure a decisive win.
Despite the lopsided score, tensions flared on the sidelines. Inigo Martinez, a teammate of Ronaldo, was seen in a heated dispute with manager Jorge Jesus during a goal celebration. The two were visibly upset, exchanging angry words and gestures. Martinez's frustration culminated in him throwing a water bottle, which skidded towards his manager, prompting teammates to intervene and diffuse the situation. This incident contrasted sharply with Al Nassr's dominance on the field as they edged closer to claiming silverware.

Martinez, who joined Al Nassr as a free agent after leaving Barcelona last summer, has made 37 appearances this season, scoring four goals. Jorge Jesus, who took over as manager last year after his time with Al Hilal, has been steering the team towards success.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Al-Nassr Reach Asian Champions League Two Final
On Wednesday, Cristiano Ronaldo played a pivotal role in Al-Nassr's 5-1 triumph over Qatar’s Al-Ahli, propelling them into the Asian Champions League Two final and bringing them closer to their first major trophy since Ronaldo's arrival in December 2022. The 41-year-old Portuguese star played for 78 minutes and, although he did not score, Kingsley Coman's hat trick was crucial in the comeback victory in this prestigious tournament.
Al-Ahli had an opportunity to take an early lead when a penalty from Julian Draxler was saved by Brazilian goalkeeper Bento. Just minutes later, Sekou Yansane managed to score, giving the Qatari side the lead. However, Al-Nassr responded swiftly, with Coman equalizing from close range after Angelo broke free down the left flank. Angelo then put Al-Nassr ahead midway through the first half, finishing a pass from Sadio Mane. Just before halftime, Coman scored again, extending the lead for Al-Nassr.
Currently leading the Saudi Pro League with five matches left, Al-Nassr will face Japan’s Gamba Osaka in the Champions League Two final scheduled for May 17 in Riyadh.
