This weekend, the Kari Motor Speedway (KMS) in Coimbatore will host the second round of the Indian Racing Festival 2026, featuring the F4 Indian Championship on September 19–20. Following an exhilarating opening round at the same venue, the young drivers are back for another three races, with vital championship points at stake.
Round 1 Highlights and Anticipations for Round 2
The first round set a competitive tone for the season, with Aris Kyriakou leading the standings with 51 points after achieving three podium finishes. Luviwe Sambudla is in second place with 38 points, thanks to his victory in Race 1, while Aaron Mehta holds third with 32 points. This weekend's races will be crucial for drivers aiming to close the points gap and gain momentum as the championship unfolds.
In Round 1, Kyriakou achieved a Grand Slam, securing pole position, winning Race 3, recording the fastest lap, and leading every lap. Mehta made history as the youngest front-row starter and podium finisher, while Aaryan Narola became the second-youngest race winner in the championship's history.
Sambudla and Narola will return to KMS eager to build on their previous successes, while Mehta aims to translate his qualifying speed into a strong finish.
