ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 Warm-Up Schedule Unveiled
The ICC has announced the warm-up matches for the upcoming Women’s Cricket World Cup, which will take place in India. These fixtures are set to commence on September 25, featuring thrilling encounters including South Africa versus New Zealand and India facing England.
The warm-up games will run until September 28, allowing all eight participating teams to gain valuable match experience before the main event, scheduled from September 30 to November 2.
Each team is expected to play two warm-up matches, with the exception of the reigning champions, Australia, who will participate in just one.
Four venues have been selected for these warm-up matches: the Centre of Excellence Ground and M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, along with the R. Premadasa Stadium and Colombo Cricket Club Ground in Colombo.
Additionally, India ‘A’ and Sri Lanka ‘A’ will also compete in these warm-up fixtures, with India ‘A’ slated for one match and Sri Lanka ‘A’ for two.
The warm-up series kicks off on September 25, featuring a match between India and England, while South Africa will take on New Zealand in Bengaluru. Concurrently, Sri Lanka will face Pakistan in Colombo, and Bangladesh will compete against Sri Lanka ‘A’.
On September 27, Australia will meet England in their sole warm-up match, while Sri Lanka will challenge Bangladesh and India will go up against New Zealand.
The final set of warm-up matches is scheduled for September 28, with South Africa playing against India ‘A’ and Pakistan facing Sri Lanka ‘A’.
