Tennis Cricket Federation Cup Details

The Tennis Cricket Federation Cup, supported by the Dream League of India (DLI), is scheduled to take place from June 4 to June 6 in Panipat, Haryana. This tournament will feature 12 teams from various states across India, competing in a day-night format.


Organizers and Selection Process

This event is organized by the Tennis Cricket Association of India (TCAI), which is affiliated with the International Tennis Cricket Federation (ITCF). Players selected from this tournament will represent India in upcoming international matches against teams from Russia and Poland.


Support from Dream League of India

Kanhiya Gurjar, the president of TCAI, expressed gratitude towards the Dream League of India for their sponsorship, emphasizing that their support is crucial for the advancement of tennis cricket. He stated, “With their backing, we aim to enhance professionalism and recognition in this thrilling format, offering players more opportunities and exposure.”


Participating Teams

The teams competing in the Federation Cup hail from various regions, including Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Goa, Bihar, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Haryana, Rajasthan, Mumbai, and Madhya Pradesh.


Future of Tennis Cricket

Chetanya Nanda, Chief Strategist at Dream League of India, shared his enthusiasm for sponsoring the Federation Cup, highlighting the potential talent that could emerge from this event. He noted, “We are committed to supporting grassroots tournaments to promote and provide exposure to players from smaller districts.”


Opportunities for Players

Participants in the Dream League of India will have the opportunity to represent India in prestigious events like the Tennis Cricket Ball World Cup and the Asia Cup. Scouts will be observing the tournament closely, as it will serve as a foundation for selecting players for these international competitions.


League Structure and Player Selection

The Dream League of India will feature both junior (ages 13-18) and senior (ages 18+) categories, with six franchises competing in each. A total of 860 players from both categories will be shortlisted for an auction, where franchises will select their teams.


Pathway to Recognition

Players who excel in the trials will enter the auction, with top performers potentially scouted by ITCF selectors for national representation. Additionally, players who do not get selected in the auction will have the chance to compete in the Inter-Zonal Tournament, with the best performers earning a platinum card for the next season of DLI.


Celebrity Involvement

Bollywood actor Sonu Sood has been appointed as the League Commissioner for the Dream League of India, alongside renowned music artist Salim Merchant, who will serve as one of the celebrity ambassadors for the league.
