The Bengaluru Bravehearts launched their season with a comeback win against the Hyderabad Heroes, while the Delhi Redz also triumphed over the Chennai Bulls later in the day.

In front of a supportive home crowd, the Hyderabad Heroes started strong, but the Bravehearts' solid defense allowed them to equalize by halftime. A try from Diego Ardao in the third quarter put Bengaluru ahead, although the Heroes fought back to keep the match competitive. Ultimately, captain Ngarohi McGarvey scored in the final quarter, ensuring a hard-earned 28-21 win for the Bravehearts.
In another match, the Delhi Redz defeated the defending champions, Chennai Bulls, with a score of 31-21 (men).
The Delhi Redz quickly took the lead with Josep Serres scoring first, giving them a 12-0 advantage. Filipe Sauturaga managed to get the Chennai Bulls on the board at the beginning of the second quarter. The Bulls responded with a strong effort, with Tololo scoring to put them ahead. However, the Redz regained control and entered the final quarter with a 10-point lead. They maintained possession in the closing moments, successfully running down the clock to clinch a notable 31-21 victory.
Later in the day, the women's teams were set to compete, with the Chennai Bulls facing the Delhi Redz, the Kolkata Banga Tigers taking on the Mumbai Dreamers, and the men's matches concluding with a showdown between the Kolkata Banga Tigers and the Mumbai Dreamers.
