U19 Star G Trisha Joins UP Warriorz
During the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2026 auction held on Thursday, G Trisha, a standout player from the U19 category, was acquired by UP Warriorz for ₹10 lakh. Trisha was a key member of the victorious 2025 U19 Women's T20 World Cup team, making history as the first player to score a century in the tournament. She topped the charts with 309 runs across seven innings, boasting an impressive average of over 77. In the final match against South Africa, she was awarded Player of the Match for her unbeaten score of 44.

1. Saika Ishaque was picked up by Mumbai Indians for ₹30 lakh. The 30-year-old has participated in 22 WPL matches, taking 25 wickets with an average of 20.68.
2. Royal Challengers Bengaluru secured Prayoosha Kumar for ₹10 lakh.
3. The Gujarat Giants acquired Danni Wyatt Hodge for ₹10 lakh. Danni has an impressive record of 3,335 runs in 178 T20Is for England, including two centuries and 21 fifties. Last season, she played six matches for Bengaluru, scoring 137 runs with a fifty.
