The Picklebay Zonals - North is set to commence at the Horizon X Courtplay in Gurgaon on Wednesday, featuring some of the nation's elite players in a competitive setting. With a prize pool of Rs 15 lakh, this tournament, sanctioned by the PWR 700 Indian Pickleball Association (IPA), holds special importance this year as it will also function as the senior selection trials for professional athletes aiming for the upcoming Pickleball World Cup.


Scheduled to take place in Da Nang from August 30 to September 6, this Gurgaon event presents a vital opportunity for professional players aspiring to secure a spot on the Indian team. Competitors from all over India will vie for dominance across 28 categories, promising thrilling matches as both experienced players and rising stars aim to catch the selectors' attention.


This tournament follows the IPA's recent announcement of a 14-member Indian junior squad after the Junior Pickleball Championship held in Ahmedabad, highlighting the federation's commitment to discovering and developing talent across various age groups.
